PRESS: Russian govt to assess regions’ minimal spending, income ‘16

MOSCOW, Mar 25 (PRIME) -- The Russian authorities will list their absolute spending priorities for regions in 2016, and the Finance Ministry will report this data and expected incomes to the government, business daily Kommersant reported Friday, citing sources with knowledge of the matter.

This measure and the assessment of regions’ liabilities will ensure the government is aware of the quality of financial management in regions.

A full version of the report is likely to be prepared only in late 2016, and next year, the government will try to redistribute spending liabilities between the federal and the regional governments, Kommersant reported.
